We are very pleased to announce the first Auckland APSMA event for 2016 – a session on influencing skills with Mark Tapsell, Managing Director of The Zone in Australasia.

What better way to kick-off the new year than learning how to increase your ability to effectively influence others?

In this session Mark will discuss:

A new perspective, an alternative course of action, a shift in direction, an evolution of  policy, a fresh approach, changing an old mindset, challenging the way things are done ... Your ability to do this is directly related to the amount of power you have in the various areas you operate in your life.

Power and Influence go hand in hand. The more power you have the more you can influence and the more you can change. Change is easy when you’re the decision maker and it only impacts you, but when others are involved influencing effectively requires more skill and awareness. Organisations are shifting away from the hierarchical model of leadership and becoming more collaborative. To be an effective leader who can bring people on the journey you need to understand the different dynamics this requires.

Join us for an interactive, real time exploration of power and your relationship with it, and discover how to increase your ability to influence effectively at home, work and in life.

Who should attend:

All levels of marketing, communications and business development professionals from juniors to seniors.

About the facilitator:

Mark Tapsell is managing director of The Zone in Australasia, a company that supports leaders to create happy & high performing organisations. He launched the first  of several successful businesses at the age of 21 and over the next eleven years honed his skills as an entrepreneur.

During that time Mark witnessed the impact of dysfunctional organisational cultures on people and performance. Spurred by his belief that great leaders need to engage the human spirit and inspire their people through organisational purpose with real meaning, he stepped away from the corporate world to pursue his passion for human potential, leadership and team development.

Over the last 16 years Mark has worked around the world coaching senior executives and running large scale organisational change programmes. During this time he has worked across industries as diverse as biotechnology, manufacturing, fast food, fashion & professional services.
