The Victorian APSMA committee is excited to launch the 2016 Mentoring Program.
In its third year, this APSMA initiative is designed to focus on challenges confronting professional services sales, BD, marketing and communications professionals. Our aim is to enhance a mentee’s abilities in their current role, providing guidance and strategies that will allow them to improve performance and confidence. Mentors will benefit from developing their leadership skills, and shaping the careers of marketers within professional services.
The program will kick off with a casual 'meet and greet' event, and will officially run from July to December 2016, with one scheduled meeting each month (for a total of 6 meetings), or more if mutually agreed between the mentor and mentee. The suggested length of each meeting is one hour, and can be arranged at a time, date and location suitable for the mentor and mentee. We suggest catching up at a café over coffee. Additional communication may include phone or email interaction, depending on what is agreed upon by both parties.
We seek to cater for all career stages through this program and undertake a thorough process of matching mentees with mentors according to career stage and personal requirements. Therefore, we encourage you to provide as much detail in your application form as possible to ensure we are able to match you appropriately.
The full outline of the program, including roles and responsibilities, benefits and more can be found here on the APSMA website.
