The erosion of traditional media means it’s more challenging than ever for a business to cut through to newsrooms and get their message out. Even when they do, the newsrooms put their own take on it.

Earned media is hard and it’s not always easy to understand. The good news is that it’s no longer the only way – and it might not even be the best way.

People increasingly trust business more than media and they are coming to the source for knowledge and thought leadership. That is why it’s never been more important to own your content and sell your expertise.

This session will look at:

  • How the media has changed and continues to evolve
  • Trust for media outlets versus trust for business
  • What do the news media actually want?
  • Owned vs earned media
  • Building an owned content strategy
  • Knowing your audience and keeping them engaged
