Dr George Beaton is a partner at beaton where he consults to professional services firms in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, UK, US and Canada. He is regarded as a leading researcher and independent authority on professional services industries and their firms. His particular research interest is in the imperative for law firms to remake their business models, on the subject of which he wrote NewLaw New Rules in 2013 and co-authored Remaking Law Firms – Why and How, published by the American Bar Association in 2016. George has held senior academic positions in the medical, business and law faculties of the University of the Witwatersrand and The University of Melbourne.
Paul Hugh-Jones is a partner at beaton providing market research, consulting and advisory services to the professions. He has 25 years international brand strategy and customer engagement experience including global marketing roles for Mars, British Airways, and Bacardi. He successfully transferred his strategic marketing and client skills from B2C to B2B and professional services, becoming CMO at international law firms Mallesons and Ashurst. Paul helps firms combine brand and business strategy as a source of competitive advantage; and execute client centric strategy and brand experience at global and local levels. Paul has a BSc (Hons) from Reading University, UK and an Executive MBA from Darden Business School, West Virginia.
