Have you ever asked yourself why you are not where you want and need to be in your career or organisation?
If your career isn’t moving in the right direction, fast enough or with what you believe you deserve, maybe it’s not what is keeping you from the top. Maybe it’s who is keeping your from the top. And, that who could be you!
What the workshop will cover:
Award-winning CEO and best-selling author, Dr Indigo will pull concepts from her book series Playing by the Unwritten Rules. Participants will understand the skills and abilities that make you invaluable to your peers, supervisor and the organisation. Four areas covered include:
1) What the middle is and why “we” are there
Many professionals are first generation successes without the benefit of acquiring business acumen from parents. Many mistakes often limit your ability to succeed on a long-term basis.
2) Playing the game
There are some baseline expectations that employers have of professionals, i.e. assimilation, diversity, accountability, integrity, playing a support role, customer service. Everyone is expected to play the game, but the rules are unwritten thus often unknown by many.
3) Why the rules are unwritten
Participants will learn what unwritten rules prevent professionals from moving to the top, while giving suggestions on how to play the game.
4) Developing a plan to remove and overcome obstacles
Participants will examine their own developmental needs to map their success based on getting a piece of the PIE: Performance, Influence and Exposures.
Spaces are limited, please RSVP to secure your place.
