Our 2019 mentoring program in WA is ready to kick off! So we invite you and our pool of mentors and mentees for an informal lunch.

Brant Garvey, Paralympian and motivational speaker, is our guest speaker for the session. The lunch is an opportunity to connect, network and share experiences and ideas as we embark on the mentoring journey together. It is also a good opportunity for those not already registered for the program to come along and find out more about it.

About the presenter:

Paratriathlete Brant Garvey became the first Australian above-the-knee amputee to compete in an Ironman Triathlon. Not only did he complete the 3.8 km swim, 180 km ride and 42 km run, but he set a world record in the process!

From there he went on to become the first Australian Paratriathlete in his category to participate in the Paralympics. He is currently training for the Kona Ironman in 2020 and works as a motivational speaker. He also works as an ambassador for Zero2Hero, an organisation that aims to empower children with mental health issues.

Brant will share his journey with us and how mentors have really helped him along the way. Two of his mentors include his sister who was diagnosed with three types of cancer as a teenager and well-known three-time Paralympic gold medallist and 2016 Australian Team co-captain Kurt Fearnley.

We look forward to seeing you for what is sure to be an inspirational session!
